Leeds-based communications agency Brand8 PR has been appointed by specialist logistics property developer Padrock to support the delivery of the business’s growth strategy.

Headquartered in London, Padrock is a property developer and asset manager of highly sustainable urban multi-let industrial (MLI) and logistics assets across the UK and Europe.

This account win adds to Brand8 PR’s property client portfolio which includes major housebuilders, commercial developers and professional services firms.

Padrock has around 1m sq ft of Grade A urban MLI and logistics accommodation under construction or ready for development with a combined gross development value of approximately £500m.

All the company’s schemes target a BREEAM Excellent rating, an A+ Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and achieving net zero carbon.

Padrock’s live developments are all located within the M25 in Hertford, Erith, Leyton and Dagenham. In addition, Padrock has submitted plans for two further schemes, one in Elstree and the other in Waltham Cross.

Commenting on the appointment, Padrock joint founding partner, Stuart Atkinson, said: “With our expansion plans for the business we need to partner with an agency with strong sector expertise and a track record of successfully advising businesses like ours.

“The Brand8 PR team have demonstrated a strong capability to work seamlessly alongside us, immediately helping raise Padrock’s profile through a highly impactful combination of media relations and social media activity.

“An effective communications strategy plays a key role in our continued growth and we look forward to working with Brand8 PR to help deliver that.”

Founded in 2010, Brand8 PR provides integrated public relations, social, content and search services to clients in the property, professional services, online retail, manufacturing and sustainability sectors.

The Leeds-headquartered agency’s other clients include housebuilder Avant Homes; urban logistics property developer and investment manager Chancerygate; online running and outdoor gear retailer SportsShoes.com; and law firm Gordons.

Brand8 PR founder and managing director, Rob Smith, added: “Padrock is dynamic business with a clear commitment to delivering high specification MLI and logistics accommodation with excellent sustainability credentials.

“The Padrock team is also dedicated to ensuring its schemes provide long-term economic assets for the places where they are built. These give companies from a wide range of different industries strategically located space to grow and create hundreds of employment opportunities.

“We look forward to providing ongoing communications consultancy and playing our part in contributing towards the achievement of Padrock’s expansion plans.”
