The Treasury Whitby is proud to announce a new partnership with Whitby Distillery, which will become the venue’s house pour gin, with the distillery’s full award-winning range available across the bar.

Launching in Summer 2026, The Treasury is committed to celebrating exceptional craftsmanship while championing outstanding local producers.

The partnership with Whitby Distillery reflects a shared dedication to quality, authenticity and a deep connection to Whitby’s coastal heritage.
Founded in 2018, Whitby Distillery has earned national recognition for its distinctive spirits, inspired by the North Yorkshire coastline. Its signature London Dry Gin, crafted using locally foraged botanicals including sugar kelp gathered from Whitby shores, has become synonymous with the town’s contemporary spirit.

By selecting Whitby Distillery as House Pour Gin, The Treasury places a truly local producer at the heart of its premium drinks programme. Guests will enjoy the distillery’s full range, from its classic expressions to limited editions and seasonal releases, featured in curated gin serves and signature cocktails designed to highlight their character and coastal influence.

Beyond craftsmanship, the partnership carries a meaningful community connection. Distillery co-founder Luke Pentith and The Treasury founder Ali Hussain both serve as volunteer crew members for the RNLI Whitby Lifeboat Station, demonstrating a shared commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the town’s maritime community.

Their dedication to service mirrors The Treasury’s own philosophy: honouring Whitby’s heritage while investing in its future.

Mark Appleton, general manager at The Treasury Whitby commented: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Whitby Distillery as our house pour gin. Whitby Distillery have created something truly special — a spirit that captures the character of our coastline — and their commitment to the community through the Whitby Lifeboat makes this collaboration even more meaningful. It’s a partnership rooted not only in quality, but in shared values.”

The collaboration reinforces The Treasury’s wider ambition to work with independent, family-founded and values-led producers whose stories enhance the guest experience. Together, The Treasury and Whitby Distillery aim to set a new benchmark for premium hospitality in Whitby — one that celebrates provenance, craftsmanship and community spirit.

As anticipation builds for its Summer 2026 opening, The Treasury Whitby continues to establish partnerships that reflect its vision: refined, thoughtful and unmistakably connected to place.
